Library part creation starts with the data sheet. The CadPlex products contain the most advanced PDF extraction of component vendors data sheets. Data can be extracted from complex tables, diagrams, or BGA Maps. Information is extracted in minutes, versus hours or days with an error prone manual approach. Using the advanced symbol partitioner, pins can be assigned to specific fractures of a multi-fractured symbol set.
The PCB Footprint / Land Pattern Generator supports the IPC-7351 Standard. Driven by rules, settings, and form entered component dimensioning, parts are build in a repetitive process defined by user settings or the IPC-7351 industry settings. Select from D-Shape, oblong, rectangular, or customize a specific pad shape with rounding or chamfer specifications. Pad stacks are user configurable and can be assigned to unique locations including corner pads or specific row/column positions.
Correlate the schematic symbol to the PCB Footprint / Land model. Identify up front in the design process any errors or inconsistencies. This level of integration, from the data sheet, to the symbol model, and to the PCB Footprint, represents the next advancement of library process integration.
